Reflection~

Fourth grading period, an indication that we're almost at the end. But come to think of it, we are getting nearer to our dreams but also at the same time getting to bid goodbye to our dear friends and classmates we've shared our memories with for four years. It would never be easy to say "So long my friend. Until we meet again" when we are not very sure WHEN will be that AGAIN.

But life's getting easier, so do separation with thy friends. Through technology, we'll be able to see each other by using video chats. So do uploading pictures to see how they've been doing. This is the most applicable use of Adobe Photoshop that we've been learning in our ICT in this grading. We are able to enhance different photos you'd like to show to others. Improve the quality of a portrait for others to appreciate more. These are the things photo editing softwares can do. 

Also, using Photoshop can enable a person to show his piece of art, to come out from his shell and give the best he can do about art. And as a result, fame can come to anyone and let his skills be shown to everyone.

This is my DREAM, This is my FUTURE~

Everyone has a dream. Even when we are still young, we are fond of saying this, "Mom, Dad, I want to be a doctor someday" or "I will be a pilot!". This is our dream, this is what my heart wants. And sooner or later, it would be what our future would look like.

Ever since I started studying, I have come to love Math, to appreciate its worth to our life. But as time flies, my perspective had changed. I could still remember myself loving and accepting Math to my life, but now, I had come to hate it. Solving complicated things and finding a way to simplify it? It's not my job. And this only means, it is not my future.

But it seems like something change for the better. I am about to finish another milestone in accomplishing my dreams and it turned out to be the best, I was able to see my future. I was now able to see myself working in an office and lifting my parents out of the life we never planned. It feels good seeing these things. And these motivates me to do everything I can to achieve my dreams, to make my future the best out of the best.

If you want something, DO SOMETHING~

CHANGE is a big word. It is a six letter word that when it comes to one's life, he may either at his best or his worst.

At this point of my life, change is vital to me. I almost had the only thing I wished for the past few years but  because of a thing I should never have done, it's all gone and I am not sure if I could bring it back.

All of a sudden, sympathy continued to flow and also encouragement that I could still make it right, And that is when I needed to make a move, to make a change. And it would all start with me.

I never expected that making my grades fail would be that easy. Once laziness strike you, in just a blink of an eye, it would be all over. So now, I have to start all over again.
They say, "Results speak louder than plans". This only means that every move must start within us. Miracles are no longer existing. Every initiative means a result. And this would never change. We must learn to take things seriously. And, if you want something? Do something.

Kannawidan Festival~

Festival. The time where the citizens are given the chance to spend some quality time with their loved ones. They try to enjoy every moment, have some fun, and make the memory last forever.

The day came for the citizens of Vigan City to experience such celebration. It all happened in January 25, 2014. All throughout the week before the celebration, many activities were conducted, contests were held and concerts were hosted. Biguenos indeed enjoyed every time they had during the Kannawidan Festival. It was a huge success to the leaders of Vigan City. And it would not be possible without the cooperation of the Biguenos.

We could see that festivities were also held to show the unity of a town, for us to let us see that oneness of the citizens would make impossible to possible. All of us could reflect this principle to the situation of our country now. Only unity, the key to success, could make the world a better place. It only starts within our hearts to make a change.

New Year, New Me

Every year that comes also means you're almost in the end, or in simpler words, when your age becomes greater, so do your life becomes shorter. This is why everybody tries to change themselves to become better individuals every start of the year. There is a saying, "Life is short", so as much as possible. we sacrifice something to change and achieve better goals to make life meaningful.

In my life, I hace decided to change my habits, my attitudes when it comes in studies, the way I speak though I'm not using inappropriate words, and most of all, my relationship with God. I admit that I usually forget Him but only remembers Him if I have a problem or decision to deal with. But this year, I intend to make things right, I will never leave Him and do the things He wants us to do because if we do so, He promised He will never leave us and makes life easy and meaningful.

IT'S REAL. Global warming is Real

Most authors of editorials deny the prescence of global warming. The effects of this environmental problem are very evident but the authors still say that it's not real. It is like saying smoking do not end up in lung cancer.

The rapid change of the nature like melting of ice in the poles, high temperature experienced in different countries and extinctions of different animals due to inadequate habitats for them are some of the effects of global warming which is affecting and changing our lives up to this days. 

What should not be done at this point is denying the fact that we are already suffering due to this. Would'nt it be better if we hold our hands together and help each other fight or stop global warming? Let us do everthing we can to prevent the occurence of more perilous effects and regain the beauty of nature even not to perfection. 

Equal Opprtunities for Every Human Being

They say that Philippines is a democratic country. You can do things you want to do, things you want to say. The goals you want to achieve, you can do them freely. But due to some reasons, divisions among people rises.

One reason of this is the discrimination towards women known as gender-based discrimination. This is one of the most pervasive human rights violations today. And this greatly affects the lifestyle of the women, their activities, plans and goals. Because of the discrimination, this gives them a limit in everything they do. It severely limits the ability of women to protect and improve their health. And sometimes, this unable them to take their rightful place in political activity to improve their political status. These only shows that there us no unity and cooperation of the community.

The equality between men and women can only be realised in the process of transforming our society to a humane one. And to do this, there is a need to educate ourselves and others in order to have a more wide and correct view of the rights of women. This gives us the idea that women are the backbone of our families. And this shows that they are very important. Their life and health are of central importance for a better nation. They bring different ideas to the sustainable and equitable progress of our country.

One Globe, One Language

 Technology had contributed to the fast expansion of global communication throughout the world. Using different social sites such as facebook , twitter, etc., people are able to share their opinions and experiences to others in any part of the world. But in such matters, problems arose about miscommunication resulting to misunderstandings.

So in order for this world to be truly global, there must be an ease of communication so there is a need for global language. And now, it is widely believed that English is already the world language. It is estimated that there are more than one billion people who could speak some form of English. They accepted English as a native, second or a foreign language.

And if English would now be accepted as the global language of all the people in the world, it would bring many advantages. This would reduce the number of mis-translations, make communication across cultures much easier.

So let us embrace English to be one of the languages. It would really help us in many ways for the main purpose of this is communication globally. English is the obvious choice for an international language. THE SPREAD OF ENGLISH WOULD RESULT IN GLOBALIZATION. 

Reflection~SecondGradingPeriod

Success! Another quarter has passed, AGAIN. :))

I can say that I did better in this quarter. All of our activites and lessons were all easy on me. They were all friendly to me in a sense that I could understand every single bit of them. And those that I call friends were HTML files and HTML tags.

Our teacher taught us how the HTML file works. Showed us the different types of tags and the examples of the HTML tags. Told us how their functions and how to use it. And to apply such knowledge, she let us do our own HTML files. 

And here, I learned the importance of such information about creating such files because as a student, we can be able to make web sites on the internet where we can show our own thoughts to others. And this is what I appreciate the most with what we are learning in ICT. We are able to adapt to the modern world where different technologies are now used  to tell others your thoughts and opinions.

My Teacher, MY HERO~2013

Many students today don't have the true knowledge on what the teachers can do to change the life of a student. To explain this, students that are about to graduate usually don't choose the courses which they will become a teacher. They usually say this line, "Ayoko maging guro."This only shows that they are belittling those who want to become teachers.

But this qoute, "Teachers open a window to the world" tells us the importance of those who become one of them. They are the ones that open the heart of students to keep on pursuing their dreams. They give us the reasons that would enlighten us what to choose what we would like when we grow up. When problems face us while climbing the ladder of success, they are always there to make us feel that we are not alone. They show us, guide us the way out of those hindrances that causes our fears. And when the time comes that we want to give up, they show what we would be like if we never let problems stop us. And this would later inspire us to do things even better.

Remember, we are always with them with most of our time at school. And sometimes, we never have the chance to say thank you whenever they do something for us. That's why we should cherish every day that we see them. We must show our appreciation for them and CELEBRATE TEACHER'S DAY EVERYDAY. 

Science Month Celebration~2013

The theme of the Science Month Celebration during the s.y. 2013-2014 was, "Unravel the Causes. Build the Solutions. Empower Science Clubbers into Action". This was one of the best themes used during this celebration. 

Our planet, Earth, was created to perfection by our Creator. But we never tried to maintain its beauty but instead, everyting we did was to destroy it. That is the reason why such activities like tree-planting, creating eco-friendly toys and sci-quizzes are conducted during the celebration to let us realize the things we should'nt and should do to it.

BUILDING THE SOLUTIONS should be our main proirity. And this must start within the school. Different seminars are being conducted to educate students like us the things that would help to regenerate the lost beauty of Mother Earth. Teaching pupils how to classify the bio and non biodegradable materials that would help maintain the cleanliness of the surroundings. Educating the students the causes of the different abnormalities happening today.

And with this, hand in hand, we can build a better place to live in.

                                                  

Modern Day Heroes~She's The One

At the age of 15, I need to execute multi-tasking. In my everday life, I always act as a daughter, student, sister, colleague and a friend. But because no one is perfect, no one can make the sequence of our life smooth. That is why problems arise in the different roles I take or do in my life.

There are times when we need someone to lift your soul. Whoever is that, we always say, "You are definitely my hero!" She is my grandmother, also my teacher and an adviser, Mrs. Ester Alegre, my HERO! *drum roll*

She is an adviser who is nearly to perfection. She has a never ending smile on her face that also helps in making the worst situation all right. All of her advises are possible that gives you hope and perseverance to fix things.

She is my teacher, in a sense that helps you understand the things she knows. She is the grandmother to all ages. She is able to make everyone happy, let every individual feel that no one is alone. All of her characteristics makes her a real hero everyone would want.

Buwan ng Wika~2013

Ang wika, isa sa napakaimportanteng dapat nating pagyabungin at ipagmalaki. Hindi lamang ito nagagamit sa pakikipag komunikasyon kundi dito nasasalamin ang tunay na pagkakaisa ng isang bansa. Ito ang pagkakakilanlan nating mga Pilipino sa ibang bansa. Ang wika nating Filipinoo ang nagsisilbing kaluluwa ng bansang Pilipinas dahil ito ang nagbibigay buhay nito. Ito ang nagsisilbing tulay sa bawat mamamayan upang magkaintindihan at magkaunawaan. At sa gayon, mas napapalalim natin ang ating pag-ibig sa bawat isa.

Pero kung ating titignan, madami nang mga lengguwahe ang nagagamit sa ating bansa. Dito natin masasalamin ang iba't ibang kultura't impluwensiya na humuhulma sa ating pagkatao. Samakatwid ang ating pambansang wika ang batayan ng ating nakaraan. At makikita natin na ang mga pagbabago sa ating kultura at pag-usbong ng iba' ibang lengguwahe ang lalong nagpapaganda sa ating bansa.
